On the TVA site, choose a reservoir (Apalachia for our fishery, and the spelling with 1 “p” is correct), and choose “releases and elevations”, then view. It usually updates for the next day by 6 pm or so. At the bottom of the page average discharge is listed for the current day and the next 2. If that is the same, usually the flow schedule is the same. Check just before you go, and always be alert, for various reasons the schedule is not always followed, but usually is. Or, dial 1-800-238-2264 and chooose 4 for release schedules, 22 for Apalachia. There is a page with info on how long it takes 2 turbines to get downriver, here . In addition, in my meanderings from time to time I come across a site that seems to me to be worth sharing. I try, and fail, to list a new “Featured Link” each week or so on my home page. Some past picks are categorized and can be reached via the bottom menu row. Please email me if you find dead or problem links. |
